Mark joined the British Army in 1978 and served for 25 years; consisting of 19 years with the 1st Battalion, Grenadier Guards and 6 years with the Adjutant General’s Corps (AGC).

In this episode he talks about joining as a Junior Leader, multiple tours to Northern Ireland, ceremonial duties in London and at Windsor Castle, and finishing his career at Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE).

Plus, he shares being a keen runner - not least finishing 15 London Marathons, his passion for the outdoors and how he helped start the charity Help for Heroes.
